Art journal

The word I had was Balance. I used tissue paper, magazines, oil pastel, and water color and acrylic paint. I did a sunset over a river that is about to go down into a waterfall. I did it to show the balance in nature. The main focus of the left page is the sun and the right page is the river. Your eye automatically is drawn to the main things on each side the sun and the river which balance eachoyher out. This shows he balance in nature. I also put words on the paper which represent balance in a different way. It shows how in literal terms if your trying to balance you can't look back otherwise you will fall.

Land art

How did you respond to challenges that occurred as you worked?
When we painted originally we were just going to do stripes and an Aztec patern. We eventually changed it to blending the stripes together and splattering paint. This allowed us to have more time and look cooler.

Did your work take an unexpected turn due to a mistake or did something happen that was unplanned?
The unexpected turn is how much harder it was to splatter paint then we thought. I ended up getting it all over me and all over the ground.

Sculpture

What is this artwork intended to say?
This art work is supposed to show how Winnie the Pooh was eating honey and dropped it on his head and made a mess.
What issues are you examining through your artwork?
One issue was the fact that I dropped it and it broke. I had to glue it back together and try to hide the cracks by painting over it.

How is this artwork about who you are or what you like?
I used to love Winnie the Pooh as a kid. I still think he is cute too. Also Winnie the Poohs "birthday" is the say day as mine October 14.

Perspective

How did you use your own unique ideas in your work?
Of the categories for Perspective I picked Where i'm from. I used my unique idea buy drawing the Apex logo on the water tower because i'm from Apex. I Also added in the picture of North Carolina in the background and added a star to show where Apex is. I also made the words have a shadow to represent perspective.

Did you use a source for inspiration, then combine it with your own ideas to make it original?
My source of inspiration was the water tower in downtown apex. By Adding North Carolina behind it and coloring it yellow i made it original. I also left the words black and white unlike the water tower how the are yellow.

Portrait

What is this artwork intended to say?
The art work is supposed to show how she's happy (my little sister) and content in a way. She is also cold because she as a jacket on and she's not smiling for real it's kind of the smile that you do to look better in a picture.
What issues are you examining through your artwork?

One issue was that since she was cold in the picture and shivering the jacket covers her neck so it looks like she has no neck. I tried to make it look like she was happy but cold so she's kind of tightening her shoulders as if she's cold.

Art history

We selected post Impressionism. Post Impressionism is the work or style of a varied group of late 19th-century and early 20th-century artists including Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Cézanne. They reacted against the naturalism of the impressionists to explore things such as color.

Johanna worked on the lady in the black dress and she sang in the music video.
Chelsea and Nicole worked on the dog.
Chelsea was the little girl in the white dress in the music video.
Nicole was the lady with the pink skirt in the music video. Nicole also worked on the power point.
I made the lady sitting down and was the guy laying down in the music video.
We all worked on the first writing part on the computer.

If I were to change one thing it would be to make the videa on a sunny day when it's not raining to make it look more like the picture.
